The Standard Aquatray is the most comprehensive shellfish grow-out system for both intertidal and subtidal use. It is currently used for oysters, scallops, abalone and mussels.
The versatility of the trays is demonstrated by the fact that they can be used in almost all seastate conditions, subtidally or intertidally - suspended several high under longlines, under buoys and rafts and also attached to rails and longlines.
The Standard Aquatray is available in either four or nine partitions in several different mesh sizes on the base and sides. The 100mm high trays can nest down to 50mm, thus providing considerable benefits for storage and transportation. Their configuration allows them to be used in several different ways in both INTERTIDAL and SUBTIDAL farming modes in almost all seastate conditions.
40mm holes in the corners allow for use with suspension ropes, polypipe, etc when used subtidally. Suspension is also obtained by using seat belt webbing attached to the side clip accessory. Holes for the use of this are punched at the time of manufacture. This requirement must be stipulated when ordering.
